Biography

Simone Eriksrud, born Simone Larsen on August 21, 1970, in Volda Municipality, Norway, is a musician, singer, and composer. Raised in Germany until age eight, she moved to Norway with her mother and stepfather. She began her music career as Simone Larsen or simply Simone. In 1993, Eriksrud co-founded the Norwegian band D'Sound, serving as lead vocalist and guitarist. The band released seven studio albums: Spice of Life (1996), Beauty Is a Blessing (1998), Talkin' Talk (2001), Doublehearted (2003), My Today (2005), Starts and Ends (2009), and Signs (2014). In 2005, Eriksrud released her debut solo album, Last Days And Nights. She left D'Sound in June 2018 to spend more time with family but returned as a touring member in 2022.
