Biography
Gerald Eaton is a Jamaican-Canadian R&B singer-songwriter and music producer known by his stage name Jarvis Church. He rose to prominence as the lead singer of the R&B-pop group The Philosopher Kings in the 1990s. During the groupâs hiatus, he launched a solo career under the name Jarvis Church, releasing Shake It Off in 2002 and The Long Way Home in 2008. As a producer, Eaton discovered Nelly Furtado at the Honey Jam showcase in Toronto and co-produced her debut album Whoa, Nelly! with Brian West, earning a Grammy nomination for Producer of the Year in 2001. His production work also extended to artists such as Kânaan and Stacie Orrico through the Track and Field production team.
