Simon Lynge, born January 22, 1980 in Holstebro, Denmark, is a Greenlandic singer-songwriter who grew up in Qaqortoq, Greenland. After studying opera, piano, drums, and music theory at the Holstebro Music School, he traveled to London, Nashville, and Los Angeles to perform and write. His early releases include the EP Beyond My Skin (2007) and the single âInfinitely Youâ (2007). In 2010, he released his debut studio album, The Future, which topped the Amazon UK Rock Charts in the week of its release and earned a nomination at the 2010 Independent Music Awards. He became the first Greenlandic solo artist to have an album released across the United Kingdom and the first to perform at the Glastonbury Festival. He supported Emmylou Harris on her 2011 European tour and toured extensively across Europe and the United States. His subsequent albums include The Absence of Fear (2014) and The Map of Your Life (2016). After signing with Integrity Records, he released the album Deep Snow on November 23, 2018.
