Anya Marina Kroth aka Anya Marina was born on 23 September 1976 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and later raised in the Silicon Valley area of California. A singer and songwriter, she began performing in television comedies and gained early exposure through appearances on Greyâs Anatomy, How I Met Your Mother, and Supernatural. Anya Marina Krothâs first recording effort was the fiveâtrack EP Exercises in Racketeering, which led to the studio debut Miss Halfway released on 19 September 2006; the title track "Miss Halfway" appeared in the television series Greyâs Anatomy and earned her a San Diego Music Award for Best Album. In 2009 she released Slow & Steady Seduction Phase II, produced by Brian Karscig and Daniel Britt, with singles such as "Move You" and "All The Same To Me" receiving airplay and a music video directed by Scott Coffey. The song "Satellite Heart" was featured in the soundtrack of The Twilight Saga: New Moon on 8 October 2009. Subsequent releases included the EP Spirit School (15 November 2010), the album Felony Flats (13 March 2012), and Paper Plane (29 January 2016). Throughout her career Anya Marina Kroth toured with artists including Jason Mraz, Chris Isaak, and Joshua Radin, and her music continued to appear in television series and film soundtracks.
