Biography
Alice Peacock, born November 19, 1969, in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, is an American folk singer-songwriter. She began her music career with the release of Real Day in 1999. Her breakthrough came with the album Alice Peacock, released in 2002 by Aware/Columbia Records, which featured backup vocals by John Mayer and Indigo Girl Emily Saliers. In 2005, she sang "The Star-Spangled Banner" at U.S. Cellular Field during the Chicago White Sox's playoff run. Several of Peacockâs songs have been featured in films and commercials, including "Leading With My Heart" on the soundtrack for Win a Date with Tad Hamilton! and "Sunflower" in the film Because of Winn-Dixie. Her subsequent albums include Who I Am (2006) and Love Remains (2009). Peacock has also been involved in the music industry as a member of the Board of Governors for the Chicago Chapter of The Recording Academy.
