Sekiden, an Australian musical group from Brisbane, Queensland, was formed in 1998. The trio consisted of Simon Graydon on lead guitar and vocals, Mirko Vogel on drums, and Seja Vogel on keyboards and lead vocals. Their initial breakthrough came with the release of their debut extended play Better Music through Mathematics in 2000 via Modular Recordings. Sekiden's second EP, Love Songs for Robots, was released in June 2001 and peaked at number 25 on the ARIA Alternative Singles Chart. In May 2003, they signed with Redline Records and released their debut album Junior Fiction on August 25, 2003. The group's second studio album, Sound Instincts, was released on April 3, 2006. Sekiden disbanded in 2007.
