Secrets of the Moon, a German black metal band from Osnabrück, was founded in 1995 by Daevas, Schizo, and Frazer. Their early works included the demos Unearthed Arcana (1995) and Vanitas (1997). The band's debut album, Stronghold of the Inviolables, was released in 2001 on Sombre Records. Carved in Stigmata Wounds (2004) marked a significant evolution in their sound, described as avant-garde black metal. Notable releases include The Exhibitions EP (2005), Antithesis (2006), and Privilegivm (2009). The band continued with albums like Seven Bells (2012) and Sun (2015). After more than 25 years of activity, Secrets of the Moon played their final shows in 2022.
