Hailing from Carolina, Puerto Rico, singer-songwriter Roberto Báez Moraza, better known as ROBI, began releasing independent singles in 2019â2020 while honing a melodic urbano style rooted in the percussion he studied from childhood; early momentum coalesced around his 2022 run, led by the solo single âAntónimos.â A few weeks later he broke globally with âPantysito,â a viral collaboration with Alejo and Feid issued in March 2022, which amassed massive streams and established him as a versatile pop-reggaetón voice; that same year he followed with the Jay Wheeler duet âGarabatos.â Consolidating his solo presence in 2023, ROBI returned with âTu Mundo,â pairing glossy synths with confessional lyrics. In 2024 he kept a steady release pace and widened his circle of collaborators: he dropped âTKILA,â featured on Caleb Callowayâs single â0 Millasâ alongside Alejo and Moffa, reunited with Alejo for âLA CRUSH,â and scored one of his signature smashes with Young Miko on âsorry es que soy bipolarrr.â Activity accelerated in 2025 with high-profile pop crossovers: he co-led âLienzoâ with Sebastián Yatra, teamed with GALE on âYsilandia,â and joined Venezuelan singer Kobi Cantillo on the summer single âGanas de Verte,â while issuing his own singles âOK.,â âCafé de Barcelona,â and âVacacionesâ that underscored a shift toward sleek, guitar-flecked pop without abandoning urbano cadences.
