Biography

Robert Joseph Mischo, known as R.J. Mischo, was born on March 18, 1960, in Chilton, Wisconsin. He is an electric blues harmonicist, singer, songwriter, and record producer who began playing the harmonica at age nine. His passion for blues grew after seeing Muddy Waters perform. In the late 1970s, Mischo started performing around Minneapolis and formed Blues Deluxe. He later released Ready to Go! in 1992 with R.J. Mischo & the Teddy Morgan Blues Band, earning local award nominations. In 1994, he toured Europe and appeared at the Notodden Blues Festival. Notable albums include King of a Mighty Good Time (2008), which featured the Number 1 hit "King of a Mighty Good Time" on Sirius XM Radio, and Knowledge You Can't Get in College (2010), both making the Top 50 in Living Blues albums of the year listings. He continues to perform and record from Southern California.
