Biography
Grzegorz SzÅapczyÅski, known professionally as Greg Zlap, was born on January 6, 1971, in Warsaw, Poland. He is a harmonica player and singer who arrived in France at the end of the 1980s with his harmonica. While studying informatics at Jussieu, he began performing in local bands and discovered Parisian music clubs. Zlap quickly collaborated with notable musicians such as Jean-Jacques Milteau and Jean-Marie Ecay. He accompanied various blues artists and French singers including Florent Pagny and Johnny Hallyday both in the studio and on tour. In 1998, he started a monthly blues event called Gregtime at LâUtopia in Paris, which later became an album release. Zlap's discography includes albums like Gregtime (1999), La Part du Diable (2002), Varsovie (2005), Road Movie(s) (2008), Air (2011), and Solidarnosc (2015). He participated in the Vieilles Canailles tour with Johnny Hallyday, Eddy Mitchell, and Jacques Dutronc in 2017. Zlap followed his solo career with albums Blue (2017), Rock It (2020), Acoustic Rock It (2022), and Toute la Musique Que J'aime (2025).
