Biography

Terry W. "Harmonica" Bean, born January 26, 1961 in Pontotoc, Mississippi, is an American blues harmonicist and guitarist. Encouraged by his father Eddie Bean, a blues guitarist, Terry began playing harmonica and guitar at a young age. His musical journey took off after seeing Robert Lockwood Jr. perform in 1988, leading to regular performances around Greenville, Mississippi. Bean's first solo recording, Here I Am Baby, was released in 2001. Over the next decade, he released six more albums, including collaborations with T-Model Ford and appearances on his album Jack Daniel Time. Bean has performed at various blues festivals and toured internationally, notably in Italy and France. His album Catfish Blues (2014) received critical acclaim for its traditional hill country blues style. Bean also appeared in several documentary films, including M For Mississippi (2008), We Juke Up In Here (2012), and the television series Moonshine & Mojo Hands (2014-2015).
