Born June 23, 1966 in Changhua County, Taiwan, Republic of China), Richie Ren is a Taiwanese singer, musician, and actor. He is popular in Asia, especially in Chinese-speaking countries. When he was a freshman in college, he was a vocalist and guitarist in a band by the name of ATP. He expanded his musical horizons and by the time he was a sophomore, he had become a DJ. Even before graduating from college, he signed a solo deal with Sony Music. He released his debut album, Ask Again (1990). While also pursuing a successful acting career, Ren continued to release popular albums including I Feel Good (1996), Desperate with Love (2000), So Far So Close (2004), and Wait Together (2008). Some of his biggest singles include âGirl Across the Way, Look Over Hereâ and âSoft Heartâ.
