The Restarts are an English street punk band from London that formed in 1995. The ensemble was founded by the drummer Darragh O'Neill, the bassist and vocalist Kieran Plunkett, and the guitarist Mik Useless and are famous for their street punk style and for their long-standing presence in the UK punk scene. They performed numerous shows across the United Kingdom as a trio until Useless left the group in 2002. Alan Campbell subsequently joined on guitar and performed on the studio recording System Error (2003) before leaving that same year. In 2003, the guitarist Robin Licker joined the ensemble, which has toured extensively throughout Europe and the United States. Their discography includes the demo recording Jobclub (1996), the EP Frustration (1996), and the studio recordings Slumworld (2002) and Uprising (2019). The drummer Jeremy Hayat later joined the group as a replacement for O'Neill.
