Hiresh Haridas, better known as Reshmonu, was born on May 26, 1976, in Malacca, Malaysia, and is a singer-songwriter. He began his music career as a member of the Malaysian hip-hop group Naughtius Maximus from 1994 to 1996. His solo debut came with the album Monumental in 2003 under Dhanosh Records, featuring hit singles "Walk Away" and "It's You That Matters". The album earned him seven Anugerah Industri Muzik nominations in 2004, winning three awards, including Best Male Vocals. In 2004, he released a repackaged version of Monumental titled Monumental â The Journey Continues, which included the chart-topping hit "Hey Waley". Reshmonu's subsequent album Superfine was released in 2006 under Universal Music Malaysia. In 2009, he launched his first fully Bahasa Melayu album, Harapan, winning Best Engineered Album at the 16th Anugerah Industri Muzik Awards. He rebranded himself as Resh in July 2015 and released the EP Who Am I under Universal Music.
