Biography
Regula Mühlemann â born January 7, 1986 in Adligenswil, Canton of Lucern, Switerland â is an operatic soprano. She began her opera studies with teacher Barbara Locher at the Lucerne Academy of Music and graduated with honors. She made her stage debut in Don Giovanni Tenorio by Giuseppe Gazzaniga, which lead to other roles including Barbarina in The Marriage of Figaro, Papagena in The Magic Flute and Doralice in Il Trionfo dell'onore by Scarlatti. In 2010, she appeared in the film version of Weber's opera Le Freischütz directed by Daniel Harding. Mühlemann performed in major European venues and made her debut at the Salzburg Festival in 2012 in the contemporary opera Das Labyrinth by Peter von Winter. She made her recorded debut in 2014âs Petite messe solennelle by Gioachino Rossini. Other recorded works include Cleopatra: Baroque Arias (2017), Mozartâs La Clemenza di Tito (2018) and Die Zuberflöte (2019).
