Biography

Ran, born Jung Hyeon-seon on May 20, 1982, is a South Korean singer, composer, and the CEO of Sarah J Entertainment. She made her official debut in 2006 with the album, The Second Story, taking over the stage name "Ran" from Jeon Cho-ah, who previously released two albums under the same name in 2004 and 2005. Known for her ability to convey deep emotions through music, Ran has built a strong career with numerous ballads that resonate with listeners. Her 2008 album I Love You further solidified her place in the Korean music industry, followed by the single "Present" in 2010. She has also contributed to multiple television drama soundtracks, including "The Crush of Spring, Part.11" (2022) and "Beauty and Romantic, Part.13" (2024), showcasing her versatility as an artist. In recent years, Ran has continued to release moving ballads such as "널 미워해야만" (2024) and "I'll Love You Every Day" (2024), captivating audiences with her signature sentimental style. Her 2025 singles "나를 사랑하지 않은 죄, Part.13" and "I'm Trying to Forget You All" reflect her ongoing dedication to heartfelt storytelling through music.
