Biography

Hwang Ga-ram, born in 1987 in Changwon City, Gyeongsangnam-do, is a South Korean singer and the lead vocalist of the bands Pinocchio and Neighborhood Youth. Known for his husky voice reminiscent of legendary singer Lim Jae-beom, Hwang debuted in 2011 with the EP Memory. He gained wider recognition in 2023 by competing in MBN's survival audition program Oppa Times, where he advanced to the semi-finals and impressed audiences with his vocal depth and emotional delivery. Hwang has contributed to numerous OSTs, including Taepung's Bride, Café Anchorage, and Nine Monks, with hits like “Sad Spring” (2024) and “Like a Miracle” (2024) showcasing his heartfelt artistry. In October 2024, he released a single, "I'm a firefly".
