Biography

Raining Pleasure, an indie/rock band from Patras, Greece, formed in September 1990 under the name Rest in Peace. They changed their name to Raining Pleasure in 1992 and began touring extensively. In 1994, they self-released a demo, which led to the inclusion of three songs in Pop & Rock's magazine compilation Dytiki Akti '96. The band signed with Lazy Dog Records in late 1996, releasing their debut album Memory Comes Back and Nostalgia in 1997 and 1998 respectively. In fall 2000, Raining Pleasure signed with Chrysalis Records, leading to the release of their major label debut Flood in December 2001. The album peaked at Number 1 on the international chart and achieved gold certification. Notable singles from this period include "Fake", "Capricorn", and "Only Through You". In September 2022, Raining Pleasure announced they had resumed rehearsals and planned to perform live again.
