Biography

Pro-Pain, an American metal band from New York, was formed in 1991 by Gary Meskil. Their debut album, Foul Taste of Freedom, released in May 1992, showcased influences from hardcore punk and rap metal. This led to a signing with Roadrunner Records, who reissued the album the following year. Pro-Pain's second studio effort, The Truth Hurts (1994), faced controversy due to its cover art but featured notable singles like "Put the Lights Out" and "State of Mind". The band continued releasing albums such as Act Of God (1999) and Round 6 (2000). In 2005, they released Prophets of Doom, followed by Age Of Tyranny/The Tenth Crusade in 2007. Pro-Pain's discography includes collaborations with various labels including Nuclear Blast Records and Candlelight Records. The band has performed at notable events like the Hellfest in 2014, and their album, Voice of Rebellion, was released in June 2015.
