Biography

Pop-O-Pies, an American punk rock band from San Francisco, California, was founded by Joe Callahan, also known as Joe Pop-O-Pie. The group gained initial attention through their repeated performances of a cover of The Grateful Dead's "Truckin'" and released their EP, The White EP, in 1981. In 1984, they released another EP titled Joe's Second Record. Their lineup evolved over time, featuring members from notable bands such as Mr. Bungle and Faith No More. The band's full-length album, Joe's Third Record, was released in 1985. Their discography includes several recordings compiled into Pop-O-Anthology 1984-1993 (2003).
