POOL BIT BOYS is a Japanese two-member male music unit born out of the TV program "ASAYAN". The two members are vocalist KINJI (Kinji Ito, born September 20, 1975) from Yamaguchi Prefecture and guitarist DAN (Yasutaka Nagai, born August 16, 1980) from Hawaii. With Daisuke Asakura as producer, they took the world by storm with their precise digital sound and outstanding melody lines, and made their major label debut on December 3, 1997, with the single "SPIRAL. The song was used as the ending theme for "ASAYAN," and got off to a strong start, reaching No. 20 on the Oricon chart. In December 1999, they released their last single , "CROSS In The Night. 2 original albums. After the breakup, KINJI became a university teacher in the U.S., and DAN continued his career as a Hawaiian folk singer, each taking different paths.
