Biography

Polaris is an American indie rock band formed in 1993 in the United States. The group was established specifically to produce music for the television series The Adventures of Pete & Pete and consists of Mark Mulcahy, Scott Boutier, and Dave McCaffrey. Their debut release was the mini-album Happily Deranged (1995), which included the songs “Hey Sandy” (1995), “Staggering” (1995), and “Coronado II” (1995). Their discography includes the album Music From The Adventures Of Pete & Pete (1999). The band became inactive in 1996 following the cancellation of the series. They resumed activity in 2012 and released the single “Great Big Happy Green Moonface” / “Baby Tae Kwon Do” (2014). Their recordings include the live album Live At Lincoln Hall (2015).
