Biography

The LaFontaines, a Scottish rock band from Motherwell, were formed in 2008 and consisted of Kerim Okan (vocals), Jamie Keenan (drums, vocals), and Darren McCaughey (guitars, production). The group played their first concert at King Tut's Wah Wah Hut on June 26, 2008. They released their debut EP All She Knows in October 2013, followed by Light Up the Background and Under the Storm, both in 2014. Their breakthrough came with the release of their first album Class on June 6, 2015, which debuted at Number 98 in the UK Albums Chart. The band supported various artists including Twin Atlantic, 3OH!3, and The Blackout, and performed at notable festivals such as RockNess and T in the Park. In 2017, they released Common Problem, followed by Junior in June 2019, which charted at Number 33 in the UK Albums Chart. Their final album, Business as Usual, was released in 2024.
