Henning Schmidt, known professionally as Plemo, was born on July 1, 1973, in Arnsberg, Germany. He is a German musician and producer who has been active in various musical projects and later performed under the name Plemo. Associated with the electronic music scene, Plemo's breakthrough came with his first EP Fahrrad fahren, released on Cobretti Records in 2001. His debut album, Yeah, was eventually released on Audiolith Records in 2004, featuring collaborations with Thees Uhlmann and DJ Patex. Subsequent albums include Kennzeichen P and Exzessexpress. His work often featured unique elements, such as using Playmobil figures in the music video for "I Sexi", which led to a legal dispute with the toy company.
