Peter Seiler, born in 1953 in Mannheim, Germany, is a German composer and pianist. He began his career as one of the first keyboardists in Germany to play the Moog synthesizer in the 1970s. In 1972, he founded the classical rock band Tritonus, which had its first television appearance in 1973 on ARD/SWF's talent show. The band released several albums before disbanding in 1979. Seiler then focused on studio work, contributing to over 150 LPs, singles, and CD productions. He also composed theme songs for various television shows, films, and planetariums, as well as jingles for companies like BASF and Ferrero. In 1986, he released his debut solo album Flying Frames. Notable albums include Sensitive Touch (1987), Passage (1990), and Open Borders (1991). Seiler's work included the annual KlangOase installation in Mannheim's Luisenpark, which began in 1996.
