Biography
Plavi Orkestar, a Bosnian pop-rock band, was formed in Sarajevo in 1983 by vocalist SaÅ¡a LoÅ¡iÄ "LoÅ¡a," guitarist SrÄan KroÅ¡njar, bass guitarist Gordan Džamonja, and drummer Admir Äeremida. The lineup stabilized in late 1983 with the addition of experienced guitarist Mladen PaviÄiÄ "Pava" and bassist Samir Äeremida "Äera I." Their debut album Soldatski Bal, released in 1985, became one of the best-selling records in Yugoslav popular music history. The band's subsequent albums included Smrt FaÅ¡izmu ! (1986), Sunce Na Prozoru (1989), and Simpatija (1991). Despite mixed reactions from critics, Plavi Orkestar achieved significant commercial success with hits like "Soldatski Bal". The outbreak of the Bosnian War led to their hiatus in 1992. In 1998, LoÅ¡iÄ and the Äeremida brothers reunited in Slovenia with new guitarist SaÅ¡a Zalepugin, releasing Longplay and maintaining popularity across former Yugoslav republics.
