Biography

Pig Destroyer, an American grindcore band, was formed in 1997 in Alexandria, Virginia by vocalist J. R. Hayes, guitarist Scott Hull, and drummer John Evans. After Evans' departure, Brian Harvey joined as the new drummer. Their debut album Explosions In Ward 6 was released in 1999, followed by their breakthrough record Prowler In The Yard in 2001, which earned them headlining slots at major festivals and critical acclaim from outlets like Kerrang! and Terrorizer. The band continued to release influential albums such as Terrifyer (2004), Phantom Limb (2007), Book Burner (2012), and Head Cage (2018). Notable songs include "Piss Angel" from Prowler In The Yard and "Gravedancer" from Terrifyer. Pig Destroyer's music has been featured in various media, including the TV show Workaholics.
