Biography

Pier, an Argentine rock band, was formed in March 1994 in Buenos Aires by brothers Agustín and Ramiro Cerezo. They initially performed in small venues, drawing influences from classic genres like rock 'n' roll and blues. Their debut album, La codiciada, was released independently in 1999. In 2001, they released their third album, Gladiadores del rock, which included the notable single "Sacrificio y rock 'n' roll". The band's popularity grew despite comparisons to Los Redondos, with Ramiro Cerezo addressing these criticisms publicly. In 2004, they released Seguir latiendo and celebrated a decade of music with a concert at the Obras stadium in December 2005, which was later released as their first live album, Alucinados como la primera vez (2006).
