PianoForte is a jazz supergroup made up of pianists Baptiste Trotignon, Eric Legnini, Bojan Z and Pierre de Bethmann. Initiated in 2019 at the Tourcoing festival by agent Reno Di Matteo, what was then a trio featuring three Victoires du jazz winners recruits a fourth keyboard player in the person of Pierre de Bethmann. Two acoustic pianos, two electric Fender Rhodes pianos - this was the formula for PianoForte, who played standards in concert, before setting about recording a studio album in Paris. The album, soberly titled PianoForte (2024), features eleven pieces familiar to jazz aficionados, including Ahmad Jamal's "Poinciana ", Bud Powell's "Celia", Herbie Hancock's "Butterfly ", Duke Ellington's "Take the A-Train" and Antônio Carlos Jobim's "Ãguas de Março".
