Pedro MartÃnez MarÃn, known professionally as Pedro MarÃn, born November 22, 1961, in Barcelona, Spain, is a Spanish singer and painter. He began his music career performing with the punk-glam band La minifalda atómica. In 1978, he was discovered by manager José Luis Gil and signed to Hispavox as a solo artist. He released his debut album Pedro MarÃn in 1980, which included hits such as "Que no" and "Aire". MarÃn was the first Hispanic singer to use synthesizers. His second album, Rebelde, was released in 1981. In 1983, he released the single "Tú serás solo mÃa" under a new contract with Hispavox. MarÃn's music achieved significant chart success, reaching Number 1 in Mexico for "Que no". He received multiple awards, including the Gran Musical artist revelation prize in 1980. His subsequent albums include Pulpo negro (2007), I Will Glam (2009), Hombre mecánico (2013), and Secret Songs (2017).
