Biography

Erik Robert Jimmy Jansson, known professionally as Jimmy Jansson, and born on September 17, 1985, in Hagfors, Värmland County, Sweden, is a musician, songwriter, and producer. He began his music career by forming the band Poets with friends while in 7th grade and competed in Melodifestivalen in 2002. Jansson's solo career started when he participated in the reality show Fame Factory on TV3 in Sweden, releasing his first single "Godmorgon världen" (2004) which reached gold status. His debut album Flickan från det blå was also released that year. In 2005, Jansson returned to Melodifestivalen as a solo artist with the song "Vi kan gunga", reaching the finals and placing sixth. The single peaked at Number 1 on the Swedish charts. His second album Som en blixt followed in the same year.
