Biography

Papermoon, an Austrian rock group from Vienna, was formed in 1991 by Christof Straub on guitar and Edina Thalhammer on vocals. Their song "Night After Night" received frequent airplay on Ö3 in 1992, leading to a record deal. The debut album Tell Me a Poem (1993) sold over 100,000 copies and achieved double platinum status. Notable tracks include "Tell Me a Poem" and "Lucy’s Eyes". Thalhammer left the group in 1996, with Roumina Straub and Barbara Pichler temporarily filling her role. In 2004, Papermoon reunited with their original lineup. They received the Amadeus Austrian Music Award for True Love in 2006. Their final collaborative album was Lovebird (2013). Since 2015, Thalhammer has continued Papermoon as a solo project.
