Biography
Paperboys is a Norwegian hip-hop duo consisting of Ãyvind Sauvik and DJ Ole Alexander HalstensgÃ¥rd. The origins of the group trace back to a 1989 encounter in Tanzania between Sauvik and Jarle Hollerud, who collaborated on projects including the band Mindstate. The debut single for Paperboys, "Moving Up..." (2001), gained traction on Norwegian radio. Their first album, No Cure for Life (2002), won a Spellemann Award for Best Hip Hop and included the hit single "Barcelona" featuring Madcon. After Hollerud left the group in 2002, HalstensgÃ¥rd joined for the albums The Great Escape (2003) and When Worlds Collide (2005). The duo achieved significant chart success with 12 songs in the VG-lista charts and three Spellemann Awards. Their single "Lonesome Traveler" (2009) was a Number 1 hit in Norway. After a period focusing on solo projects, they returned in 2016 with the Be Like Water EP and the single "Go Ahead".
