Biography
Marit Larsen is a Norwegian folk singer who learned to play music as a child and first garnered attention as a member of M2M, a pop duo she formed with singer Marion Raven. They split in 2002 and Larsen's debut solo album 'Under the Surface' came out in 2006. It went to number three on the Norway Albums Chart while the single 'Don't Save Me' topped the Norway Singles Chart and the title track reached number six. Other tracks included 'Only a Fool' and 'Solid Ground'.
'The Chase' (2008) topped the Norway Albums Chart and the track 'If a Song Could Get Me You' went to number one on the Norway Singles Chart. 'Spark' (2011) reached number two on the Norway Albums Chart and 'When the Morning Comes' (2014) hit number one. She has released several concert DVDs, won regional music prizes and toured internationally. She released an album titled 'Joni Was Right 1 & 11' in 2016.
