Biography

Born in Madrid on July 1, 1949, Spanish singer Pablo Abraira made his debut in 1969 with the pop and rock group Los Grimm, before going solo. In 1977, he achieved his greatest success with the album 30 de Febrero, from which the hits "Gavilán o Paloma" and "O Tú o Nada" reached the top of the charts. In addition to appearances in musicals such as Jesus Christ Superstar (1974), Lovy (1980) and Che (1982), the Latin pop singer went on to record the albums Visiones (1978), La Ciudad Dormida (1979), Vida (1981), Cuarto Creciente (1983) and Taller de Sentimientos (1986). In 1984, he joined the new production of Jesus Christ Superstar, which toured Latin America ten years after its debut. The singer then devoted himself to other musical and theatrical shows, such as Marat - Sade (1994) and La Magia de Broadway (2000), before returning to the studio with the album Ahora (2004), followed by a new version of his first album, 30 de Febrero 2006. While he favors the stage, as with the musical El Amigo de Picasso (2018), several compilations bring together his hits, notably the double CD 30 Grandes Exitos (1999).
