Biography

PÃ¶bel und Gesocks, an Oi! punk band from the Ruhr area, was founded in 1979 under the name Beckâs Pistols. The groupâs early breakthrough came with their 1990 self-titled debut album, which featured material from their earlier years and brought them to a wider audience. Following an injunction from the Beck brewery over the use of the original name, the band adopted the name PÃ¶bel und Gesocks, chosen through a poll in their in-house fanzine. Their discography includes albums such as Oi! Punk Pervers (1996) and 5 Millionen (1998) and EPs like Auf Euch! (2017).
