Biography
Orulico, was born on 19 November 1985 in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, China, and is a singer and dancer. She entered the Northwest Ethnic Music School in Lanzhou at age eleven, majoring in Mongolian traditional dance, and after graduating in 2000 joined the Inner Mongolia Armed Forces Arts Troupe. In 2003, she moved to Japan with her sister to pursue a singing career, drawing influence from Teresa Teng. Her breakthrough came with the single "Higurashi no saka" (2000â07â21), accompanied by "Wasurenaide"; the track was written for Teresa Teng and featured her sister Yilana on morin khuur. Orulicoâs debut album Kaze no uta was released on 2011â06â22, followed by Best 2010-2015 on 2016â05â25. She released singles such as "Aitakute" (2012â07â25), "Anata no tonari niwa" (2015â05â13), and "Eki" (2016â05â25). In 2011 she received the Japan Singer Associationâs Best New Artist Award. Orulico contributed to the 009 RE:CYBORG soundtrack (2012) and appeared on the NHK drama Nezumi, Edo wo Hashiru soundtrack (2014).
