Saiddy Bamba is a Brazilian pagode baiano group formed in 1998 in Salvador, Bahia, and the project took shape in 1999 after a split from another local band in the same scene. In their early years, they built momentum through regional media coverage and a steady run of shows beyond Bahia, including dates in cities such as BrasÃlia, Aracaju, Recife, and São Paulo. Fronted first by vocalist Alex Maxx (1998â2016), the bandâs lineup later centered on John John Miranda (vocals), alongside Titio Estrela (backing vocals/cavaquinho), Fabinho Duarte (backing vocals/percussion), and dancers Thiago Drack and Keny. Their catalog included the full-length A Porrada à Dura (2006) and later Saiddy Bamba - Verão 2012 (RelÃquia) (2012), the era that coincided with their national breakout via the summer hit âSim Sim Sim, Não Não Não.â They followed with Toca Toca Que a Novinha Gosta! (2014), and after John John Miranda took over lead vocals in 2016, they kept releasing into the 2020s, including âTome Tome Tomeâ (2022), the EP Tbt do Saiddy - EP (2023), and the project O Saiddy à F*da (2023), plus a new wave of releases such as âTome Tomeâ (2024), Do Jeito do Saiddy, Vol. 02 (2025), and the anniversary sets Saiddy Bamba 25 Anos (Parte 01) - EP (2025) and Saiddy Bamba 25 Anos, Pt. 2 (2025), alongside singles like âMemória Desbloqueadaâ featuring Poder Dang (2025).
