Born in Bonao, Dominican Republic, on January 17, 1979, Antonio Peter De la Rosaâbetter known as Omega El Fuerteâemerged in the early 2000s as a defining force in merengue urbano, a modern fusion of traditional merengue with hip-hop and R&B.
