Ãengo Flow is the alias of Edwin Rosa Vázquez (born on October 15, 1981), a Puertorrican reggaeton and Latin trap singer. Nicknamed The Real G in his native Puerto Rico, Vázquez is known for his explicit lyrics, which are mainly inspired by his humble upbringing in Bayamón. Following the release of a mixtape that quickly became an underground hit, he released Flow Callejero (2005), his studio debut, which was championed by reggaeton legends Don Omar and Cuban Link. After releasing a singles compilation in 2008, Vázquez broke into the mainstream with the album Real G 4 Life (2011), which spawned the hit singles âEn Las Noches FrÃasâ and âTú Eres Otra Cosa.â Real G 4 Life Baby, Pt. 2 (2012), the sequel to Vázquezâs previous album, also enjoyed great success, peaking at Number 7 on Billboardâs Latin Rhythm Albums chart. Three years later, he released Los Reyes del Rap (2015), which represented a significant shift in style, steering away from reggaeton and focusing solely on hip-hop. The album debuted at Number 1 on Billboardâs Latin Albums chart and featured collaborations with French Montana, Ãejo, and De La Ghetto. Vázquez went back to basics on Real G 4 Life, Vol. 3 (2017), the third and final installment of his trilogy, favoring reggaeton numbers and throwing in some trap beats into the mix. Despite the singerâs legal issues, The Goat (2020) was released to great critical acclaim and the single âSur y Norteâ became a hit in several Spanish-speaking countries. His following release, the fourth volume of the RealG4Life series, dropped in 2024 and included contributions from Wisin & Yandel, Myke Towers, Jory Boy, Gotay, Anuel AA, Jon Z, Bad Bunny, and many more.
