Nana Kitade, born ååº èå¥ on May 2, 1987, in Japan, is a singer known for her contributions to pop music. From an early age, Kitade showed a keen interest in singing and anime artistry, learning the piano at three years old and writing her own lyrics by twelve. In February 2002, she passed a Sony Music Japan audition and was chosen as the Sapporo area representative, marking the beginning of her music career. Her debut single "Kesenai Tsumi" was released on October 29, 2003, serving as the first ending theme for the popular anime Fullmetal Alchemist. The single reached Number 14 on the Oricon charts and stayed there for twenty-two weeks. Following this success, Kitade released several singles including "Utareru Ame" (February 4, 2004) and "Hold Heart" (July 22, 2004). Her debut album 18: Eighteen was released on August 24, 2005, peaking at Number 16 on the Oricon albums chart. Kitade's music has been featured in various anime, TV shows, and movies, including "Kiss or Kiss" as the theme song for the Nippon Television drama Anego. She has also toured extensively across Asia, Europe, and North America. Notable achievements include her appearance at the 2005 Hong Kong Comic Festival as the first Japanese artist to perform there.
