Biography

Don Micheal Perez, known professionally as Myk Perez, is a Filipino singer born on November 18, 1990, in Puerto Princesa, Palawan, Philippines. He began his musical journey as a freelance performer in Palawan before gaining national recognition. Perez's breakthrough moment came when he auditioned for the first season of The Voice of the Philippines in late 2012. His rendition of "I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz impressed all four judges, leading him to join Bamboo Mañalac’s team. Throughout the competition, Perez showcased his versatility with covers such as "Hey Jude", "California Gurls", and "Chasing Pavements". He ultimately finished in fourth place but gained significant traction with his original song "Fix You", which peaked at Number 1 on iTunes Philippines and number 11 in Asia Pacific. Following his appearance on The Voice, Perez released his debut album, My Acoustic, in 2014. Other single releases included the featured track "Almost Is Never Enough" (2014).
