Biography

D.O.A. is a Canadian punk rock band from Vancouver, British Columbia. Active since 1978, the group members include Joey "Shithead" Keithley, Chuck Biscuits, and Randy Rampage. The group released several singles and EPs on the Sudden Death label while touring extensively in North America. D.O.A.'s breakthrough came with their album Hardcore '81, which is widely regarded as a foundational work for the hardcore punk movement. The band's lineup changed frequently, but Keithley remained the sole constant member. Notable releases include Something Better Change (1980) and collaborations such as Last Scream of the Missing Neighbors with Jello Biafra in 1990. D.O.A.'s political stance was evident in their music and activism, supporting causes like anti-racism and environmental protection.
