Biography

Subhumans are an English anarcho-punk band from Wiltshire that formed in 1980. The group originally consisted of guitarist Bruce Treasure, drummer Andy Gale, and bassist Grant Jackson, who were later joined by vocalist Dick Lucas. They released their debut EP, Demolition War, (1981) through the label Spiderleg Records. Their first studio album, The Day the Country Died, was released (1982), followed by the album From the Cradle to the Grave (1984), which featured a title track lasting nearly 17 minutes. The band disbanded in 1985 due to musical differences but reunited in 1998. Their subsequent recordings include the EP Unfinished Business (1998) and the studio albums Internal Riot (2007) and Crisis Point (2019). The ensemble toured across the United Kingdom and the United States.
