Biography

Mucky Pup, a crossover thrash/hardcore band from Bergenfield, New Jersey, was formed in 1986 by brothers Chris Milnes and John Milnes alongside Scott Dottino and Dan Nastasi. Initially known as Predator, the band changed their name to Mucky Pup and released two demo tapes in 1987. Their breakthrough came when they won second place in a Bloom County comic strip contest, leading to the release of "U-Stink-But-I-♥-U" on a flexi disc. They signed with Torrid Records in 1988, debuting with Can't You Take a Joke? (1988). Their second album, A Boy in a Man's World (1989), achieved significant success in Europe. The band released Lemonade (1993) and disbanded in 1996, but reunited from 2009 to 2014.
