Biography

Hadaiyah Bey, known professionally as Yaya Bey, was born on 4 August 1990 in New York City and emerged as a soul‑influenced R&B singer. Her first public appearance came in 2016 with the EP The Many Alter Egos of Trill’eta Brown, followed by This Too… (2019) and Madison Tapes (2020). In 2021 she signed with Big Dada Recordings and released the EP The Things I Can't Take with Me; the next year she issued the album Remember Your North Star, produced largely by herself, which received a “Best New Music” designation from Pitchfork. Subsequent releases include the remix album Career Day (2024) and Do It Afraid (2025). In 2026 she issued the single "Blue", followed by the album Fidelity.
