Biography
Iniabasi Samuel Henshaw, known professionally as Samm Henshaw, was born in London on February 22, 1994. Raised by Nigerian parents in South London, he pursued a popular music performance degree at Southampton Solent and is a notable singer, songwriter, and record producer. His first public exposure came in 2015 with the release of the EP The Sound Experiment, produced with Wayne Hector and Fred Cox. In 2018, he issued promotional singles including "How Does It Feel?", "Broke", "Church" featuring Earth Gang, and "Doubt" featuring Wretchâ¯32, the last two of which became his biggest hits. Henshawâs debut album, Untidy Soul, released in 2022 through Dormâ¯Seven, received praise for its blend of rootsy soul, 90s hipâhop, and gospel elements. In 2024, he released the miniâalbum For Someone, Somewhere, Who Isnât Us, accompanied by a short film documentary. He has also toured with Chance the Rapper, James Bay, and Allen Stone.
