Morten Halle, born on October 7, 1957, in Oslo, Norway, is a saxophonist known for his contributions to contemporary jazz. He began his musical journey participating in various small bands at the Oslo Jazz scene in the late 1970s while studying music at the University of Oslo from 1981 to 1986. Halle's early career included collaborations with notable musicians such as John Eberson, Bjørn Kjellemyr, and Finn Sletten/Pål Thowsen. He released his debut album Cutting Edge in 1982, followed by Our Man in Paradise in 1984. He has also composed music for film, theater, and ballet.
