Biography
The Monsters of Liedermaching were founded in 2003 on the occasion of the Hamburg "Rockspektakel". The formation consists of six solo artists and singer-songwriters. Originally, each of the artists was supposed to perform individually at the Hamburg event. The soloists spontaneously decided to bring beer benches onto the stage and perform their pieces in rotation. Due to the success with the audience, the idea was born to continue this type of performance. Since 2004, the Monsters of Liedermaching have been performing regularly at the Open Flair Festival. 2004 also saw the release of their debut, the double CD 6 Richtige. In 2012, the band achieved their first placement in the German charts with Schnaps & Kekse at number 18. After 10 years of Monsters of Liedermaching - Das Jubiläumsalbum (2013), another studio album followed in 2016 with Wiedersehen macht Freude. With the 2023 album Federwisch im Elfental, the Monsters of Liedermaching make it to number 36 in Germany. In April 2024, Monsters of Liedermaching release another studio album, Setzen, Sekt!
