Kimberly Leadbetter (November 20, 1979), better known as Mona Lisa, is an American R&B singer, actress, and record producer. Born and raised in Union, South Carolina, Leadbetter made her debut with the single âCan't Be Wasting My Timeâ (1996), featuring hip-hop group The Lost Boyz, which made it to Number 20 on Billboardâs Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks and was included in the soundtrack for Paris Barclayâs 1996 comedy Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood. 11-20-79 (1996), her first and only full-length, peaked at Number 15 on the Heatseekers chart and spawned two other singles: âYou Saidâ and âJust Wanna Please U.â In the following years, she released a handful of standalone singles, including âPeachâ (1998), âGirlsâ (2004), and âGet At Meâ (2007), and made an appearance on the soundtrack of 2011âs King of Paper Chasinâ with the song âFirst Klass.â In 2012, her song âOnce Upon a Timeâ made its way to the soundtrack of the feature film The Heart Specialist.
